I agree with this suggestion. Recently, we see stations testing their transmission quite often as QSOnet population grows very fast these days. If you possibly consider one for it, what about giving the funtion name "dummyload" ?

I think the idea definitely has merit especially if we can have it return the audio to check audio deflection.
